Dawaun Parker – Lost [Audio] - Aftermath Music
Those who still buy CD’s, visit www.Aftermathmusic.com and read liner notes are already familiar with the name Dawaun Parker. Under the aegis of legendary producer Dr. Dre, Dawaun has spent the last years in a residency of sorts. He received co-producer credits on tracks on Eminem’s “Relapse”, which included the grammy winning, #1 single, “Crack A Bottle”, 50 Cent’s “Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (O.S.T.)”, Busta Rhymes’ “Big Bang” and Jay-Z’s “Kingdom Come”.
Imagine just graduating from Berklee College of Music and a few days later you go from a dorm to the studio with Dr. Dre. This is not a fantasy for Dawaun Parker, this is his reality.
There are numerous projects to focus on, but Dawaun is gearing up with his first EP tentatively titled, “The Decision”, due early next year. Parker steps from behind the beats on his very own song, “Lost” – the first offering from his EP, which is co-produced by Dr. Dre. So, 2010 is the year of the official introduction of Dawaun Parker.

50 Cent thinks Dr. Dre should hurry up and “put an album out already”.
50 is currently working on his fifth studio album, which he may release later this year. He is yet to settle on a date to make it available as he has written two different records, and is unsure which he wants go with. The rapper doesn’t understand why other people in the industry don’t work like he does. He is a fan of legendary rapper Dre’s work, but finds it unbelievable he hasn’t released a solo album since 1999. Dre’s new record Detox is rumoured to be planned for release later this year.
“You listen to things in Dre’s studio and you think, ‘What the hell’s the matter with him?’ I mean, the beat box is right there. Just press the button and do it! But he’s up against all the success he’s had in the past,” 50 explained. “He wants to make something that will top all that. That’s tough. I feel the same way, but because I’m out and about, I can move faster. I’m more in the scene. Dre, man, you never see him. He’s not a homebody, he’s a studiobody. He’s always in there working. But you listen to the stuff and you’re like, man, you got it. Put it out already.”
50 – real name Curtis Jackson – is proud of his work ethic, and of all the records that bear his name. He plans to continue working as hard as he previously has, insisting it isn’t difficult as it’s so enjoyable.
“I’ve stayed on schedule. I’ve released an album every other year consistently, with three albums in-between by people I like,” he explained to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper. “People I know make records whenever they’re inspired to. They get out of bed when they feel like it. My process is different. I don’t want to wait around. I want to give you something, right now.”

Scott Storch Co-Produces New Dr Dre & Jay-Z Track "Under Pressure"
(AllHipHop News) Scott Storch is quickly getting back into swing of the music game by lending his hit-making skills to the highly anticipated Dr. Dre single “Under Pressure,” a song that features Jay-Z.
The song, which has yet to leak, is a huge move for the Philadelphia-bred musician, according to a company working closely with Storch.
"To see Scott Storch and Dr. Dre back together, signifies the change in the music industry climate as we know it. This will definitely get the industry back in step with the world,” said Derek Jackson of the Bluewave Group, Inc. Storch serves as the Vice President of Creative, according to the company’s profile.
When AllHipHop.com talked to Storch in December 2009, he was about to jump on a plane to Los Angeles to work with Dre in California.
He wouldn’t divulge much but said, “That seems to be his trend and every time he comes out, its amazing. I don't want to spill the beans on exactly the direction he's going but its definitely different than that last one.”
Storch and Dr. Dre have worked together at great lengths in the past, including "Still D.R.E," (which was written by Jay-Z), The Chronic 2000 and a plethora of other works.
